Alex Vieira's journey into the world of market prediction and algorithmic trading began in 1994, when he earned his Master of Science degree in the Applied Mechanics Division from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST). Under the mentorship of Dr. K. Davey from the Department of Mathematics, Vieira’s dissertation focused on Boundary Integral Formulations for Wave Equations, with a strong emphasis on developing computational model simulations. His thesis received the highest rating from Oxford University, which offered him a Ph.D. invitation, as did Imperial College in London, where he was invited to continue his work on Stealth Technology applied to aircraft.

Despite these prestigious offers, Vieira chose a different path. In 1989, he began his own groundbreaking work, developing a novel framework for financial market investments based on immutable algorithms. This work, which would later incorporate artificial intelligence, set the foundation for his lifelong pursuit of market prediction.

By 1998, Alex Vieira was a pioneer in using algorithms to predict financial market movements. In a pilot project launched on Microsoft’s MSN, he helped hundreds of investors, marking the start of a series of stunning predictions. He accurately foresaw major financial events, including the Millennium stock market crash, and the U.S. Market bottom in 2002, the housing market crash in 2008, and the COVID-19 pandemic market bottom in 2020.

Throughout his career, Vieira has published over 65,000 case studies on investment strategies for hundreds of companies listed on NASDAQ and NYSE, offering unparalleled insights to investors worldwide. His expertise extended into the cryptocurrency sphere, where he advocated for buying Bitcoin when it was priced at just $200. He continued to make highly accurate predictions for cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, and others before selling his Bitcoin holdings for $72,457 in 2024.

Rather than focusing solely on profit, Vieira’s mission has always been to decipher the markets and share his knowledge with others. He has released thousands of complimentary masterclasses and courses, helping beginners avoid common pitfalls and make informed investment decisions.

In 2024, as Vice President of Intuitive Code, Alex Vieira began working on a new algorithm named "Chu (楚)," dedicated to ETFs such as QQQ and SPY, as well as companies like NVIDIA. The algorithm is a tribute to the powerful Chu state that existed during China's Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods. Vieira’s approach emphasizes the importance of understanding the diverse world and cultural values, rather than focusing on conflict, as the key to extracting real value from the markets.
